My teenage years in the mid-1980s were a haze of heavy rock music – Motley Crue, Guns n’ Roses, Cinderella, Tesla, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Vain and of course my beloved Whitesnake.
But Madonna had a big impact on me too, as did lots of the more 1960s-based bands (Bowie, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles etc. ) which my parents would always play at home and in the car. By the turn of the decade I was more of a raver. All of this music has stayed with me, and I still love it all so much. To this day I go to as many gigs as I can and now sometimes take my 2 gorgeous girls along too.
I’ve worked in some stunning florists and also as a contracts manager in London, making up flowers for some fantastic events and quite a few famous faces.
I think the displays I’ve come up with have often been influenced by music. The possibilities are endless. Creations can be romantic or full of attitude, blazing with reds and pinks, fiery hot and passionate; or a darker, deeper palette bordering on gothic.
I had never really considered starting my own business until it dawned on me that I could blend two of my favourite things together, so I decided to turn it into a reality. I want this to be a fun online shopping experience, giving customers the choice of my pre-designed hand tied bouquets, but allowing them to mix and match styles. I offer a bespoke service too, offering beautiful creations custom-made to order, following customers own ideas and suggestions. Essentially it would be me rocking-it-up and punking-it-out more than your typical high street florists.
Well I’ve done it now and here we are. I think it’s a rather unique way to buy a beautiful gift for your music-mad partner, or someone special, or perhaps even just as a treat for yourself. I use only the highest quality flowers and I’ve spent hours searching for some really fantastic products to sell along with my bouquets, mostly all music oriented, but some just because I love them for being gorgeous!
If you are still reading this I’m guessing it’s because you want something a little bit different, more personal, possibly outrageous but always made with love and full of fun. Hope you enjoy the site.
